In today’s world, life is becoming busier and busier. There is an expectation to do more in less time, to maintain more, sustain more, and simply do more.

One thing we observe from the Bible is that those serving the Lord were able to accomplish far more than we can physically grasp. When we look at the life of Jesus, it is difficult to comprehend how He maintained prayer all night, conducted ministry all day, and relied purely on faith for provision, hence multiplying food for the crowds who followed Him.

So what is the key to achieving and doing more than everyone around you?

“Whatever you do, work at it with your whole being, for the Lord and not for men, because you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as your reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.”

Colossians 3:23–24  (BSB)

It does not matter what God has placed before us. The question is simply this: do we do everything as unto the Lord? Are we aware that in every activity, even the ordinary, even the unseen, we are in divine fellowship with His Spirit? Do you carry the thought that everything you do contributes to your inheritance?

One of the greatest secrets of the saints who have gone before us is that they learned how to carry the Presence from the secret place into the world around them. The way to do this is to keep your mind fixed on Him in everything you undertake. That is how the Presence goes with you, out of the prayer closet and into the ordinary work of the day.
