“After he says above, You did not desire or delight in sacrifices and offerings, whole burnt offerings and sin offerings (which are offered according to the law), he then says, See, I have come to do your will. He takes away the first to establish the second. By this will, we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all time. Every priest stands day after day ministering and offering the same sacrifices time after time, which can never take away sins. But this man, after offering one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God. He is now waiting until his enemies are made his footstool. For by one offering he has perfected forever those who are sanctified.” ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭10:8-14‬ ‭CSB‬‬

As we built on yesterday that more profound understanding of what the Blood of Jesus does for us, the author further cements this fact. The Blood removes sin from us, which is why He only died once. Through that one atonement, we are now sanctified and can be made pure and holy, free from sin and become a sacred line of priests serving Him.

The freedom given to you from the Blood and will of Jesus (go re-read day 221 if you do not remember) will effectively set you free from the desire to sin. The truth is, when people have indeed encountered Jesus, there is a heart change. Through this genuine change, the way those people live will change. An exchange now happens, where the world’s routes cease, and the walk of holiness commences. This change in direction is what it means to be sanctified. Without the Blood, it is IMPOSSIBLE to walk a holy life. The lack of direction change is why there are so so so many horror stories of corruption within church organisations. Sin corrupts the churches in forms that non-believers find horrifying. Corruption happens because there has been no true sanctification, no authentic experience with Jesus. Without a real relationship with God, you have another religious organisation, and the identifying factor is holiness at the forefront of what you see, hear and experience. To be sanctified and to be covered and to be purchased means that you are now in His household, and that household will look like Him.

Today, reflect. It is your walk and your decisions. It is your life to live because only you will answer to Jesus for what you did with the talents He gave you. Ask yourself the following questions. Does the church you go to showcase the freedom from sin and corruption that the Bible tells us? Does your church experience the will of Jesus (for us to know God intimately)? Have you experienced the freedom from sin that Jesus offers us? It would be best if you cried out, “Yes! Yes! Yes!”. If not, everything is your choice. You are free to choose your church. Nothing but your flesh binds you to a church that does not walk out the Bible. If you have not experienced freedom, then ask genuinely to experience Him and then step in faith and make the actions in your life needed. Throw away the things that trip you up. Give away the treasures you have hoarded. Find a genuine Spirit-filled community that run for holiness and join them fully.

Remember it is your life and your accounting. Please, make seeing the whole Bible walked out your goal in life. It is for your eternal salvation that I beg of you as I hope that on that final day, we will all be sitting around the table of Jesus saying thank you to God as one family.
