“For Jesus is considered worthy of more glory than Moses, just as the builder has more honor than the house. Now every house is built by someone, but the one who built everything is God.” Hebrews‬ ‭3:3-4‬ ‭CSB‬‬

Jewish people adore and honour Moses in a similar way that Muslims adore and honour Mohammed. As Christians, we must adore and honour Jesus to a higher degree than Jewish and Muslim believers do to their prophets. Why? Because as the author of the letter to the Hebrews informs us, Jesus is considered worthy of more glory.

People find it so easy to honour the systems people built. In fact, we can even say people prefer to follow the systems, when you look at most religions today they are all people-built systems. Islam is split depending on which hadiths you follow. Judaism is split on which of the prominent Rabbis they follow. Catholicism is split between which saints they follow. Christianity is split between which reformers they follow. People naturally gravitate toward following the houses or systems which people build.

But, the one who builds everything is God and therefore, we should look to glorify and live for God, the builder of all. Today I challenge you to sit and be honest with your heart and lifestyle. Do you focus on living a life taught by someone or do you focus on living the life God leads? We can easily deceive ourselves to say we are giving God the glory, but when you get to the root, you will see you honour the systems taught to you or you are glorifying yourself!! We must live to glorify Jesus only.
